  • Multiwindowed video panel

    All participants can appear in video at the same time, within a compact and easy to control interface.
  • Adjustable video quality

    It's possible to modify video resolution, bitrate and framerate in order to obtain the best sustainable quality from participants internet connections.
  • Audio multi-codec with echo cancellation

    e-works offers a list of audio codec, bitrate ranging from 13,3 to 512 kbps. It's possible to change codec during the videoconference, to adjust perceived audio quality. The full duplex audio is filtered by a proper algorithm to remove environmental acoustic echo.
  • Double video source

    Together with the primary video camera, it's possible to acquire and transmit through picture in picture mode a secondary video source (document camera, medical videocam, etc.)
  • Voice Switched Video

    With this feature turned on, only the talking participant video will be transmitted. Talking participant detection is automatic.
  • PTZ camera remote control

    When using PTZ cameras, it's possible to control local or remote shot, zoom details and changing view angle directly from e-works software interface without help from remote controls.

Complete collaboration and control features

  • Instant messaging

    With e-works communicator, it's possible to view presence status of accounts of the same portal and chat with them, start a videoconference or call them on the phone with a single click.
  • Documents/presentations sharing

    The whiteboard feature allow publishing, sharing and co-working over graphical documents. Word, PDF, Powerpoint slideshows can be published with dedicated tools. Whiteboard collaboration allows high quality and very fast publishing and co-working, without visualization delay, with very little bandwidth usage.
  • Application/desktop sharing

    With e-works you can share every application window on your PC, or if you need, the whole desktop. It's possible to give application or desktop control to other participants and work together on the same application.
  • Co-browsing

    Using the integrated browser, it's possible to start assisted and coordinated browsing sessions for all participants, with very little bandwidth usage (e.g. web sites presentations, tutorials of intranet procedures, etc.)
  • DICOM viewer

    A medical document viewer compatible with DICOM standard is integrated in e-works. Documents can be published and all participants can manipulate viewing parameters.
  • File transfer

    It's possible to transfer files between participants, both in one-to-one and one-to-all mode.
  • Integrated public and private chat

    A chat panel allows all partipants to communicate with text messages. A chat can also be private, between two participants.
  • Notes

    A "Note" panel is available for all participants and can be used to take notes on the fly. These notes can be saved on the participant's PC.

Enhanced moderation features

  • Participants audio and video enable/disable

    Through a very intuitive panel, the videoconference host can enable/disable video or audio for a single participant or for whole group, in order to focus attention to active participants and optimize bandwidth usage.
  • Participants transmission quality parameters control

    The videoconference host can adjust bitrate, framerate and codec before meeting start and during the meeting.
  • Hand raise and feedback signals

    All participants can give immediate feedback through a very intuitive icons set ("Hand raise","OK","Yes","No", etc.), allowing a simple and effective participant management, especially when dealing with large groups.
  • Polling and tests

    During the videoconference, it's possible to take surveys (can be prepared in advance), make questions or submit tests to participants, then collect results.

Recording and post-production

  • Videoconference full session recording

    Videoconference sessions can be recorded server side. Recording files are available to the accounts at the end of the videoconference.
  • Recording tagging

    Recorded session can be indexed by the host using tags. Tags are inserted by the host in appropriate moments. Tags will become a time saver during editing and post-production.
  • Post-production

    Recordings can be edited and converted to different video formats with e-works software tool Autore, distributed freely. The resulting file supports SCORM v1.2 format and it's suitable for e-learning platforms.

  • Data encryption

    Videoconference privacy is preserved by platform provided encryption algorithms applied on audio, video, chat and collaboration data.

Unified Communication

  • Communicator

    With e-works communicator, it's possible to view presence status of accounts of the same portal and chat with them, start a videoconference or call them on the phone with a single click.
  • Softphone

    e-works phone is a standard SIP IP phone. It's possible to make or receive phone calls registering the phone with a SIP server or with the company IP PBX.
  • Asterisk PBX integration

    It's possible to configure e-works server in order to instradate phone calls through Asterisk manager interface, with a single click directly from web pages or communicator. e-works phone can be use to originate and receieve calls.
  • 3CX PBX integration

    It's possible to configure e-works server in order to instradate phone calls through 3CX PBX, with a single click directly from web pages or communicator. e-works phone can be use to originate and receieve calls.
  • ESTOS Procall integration

    Estos Procall license owners can configure e-works server to enrich Estos Procall client with video communication and collaboration features.
  • MS Outlook integration

    It's possible to send invitation and schedule meetings directly from MS Outlook: e-works is fully integrated with Outlook address book and calendar.

Reports

  • PDF reports

    When the videoconference session ends, e-works makes available a PDF report with access details (day, time, duration) for every participant, a detailed register of attendance.

Integration and customization

  • Customizable portal and interface

    e-works platform is multi-portal. Portal graphic can be customized and it's possible to add a specific banner inside the videoconference client.
  • e-works API

    Through e-works Application Program Interfaces (API) it's possible to integrate e-works with other platforms in an easy and powerful way, up to full control over user creation and meeting management.
  • OEM license

    e-works is also available with an OEM license, as a third party appliances add-on.
  • White labelling

    e-works can be offered to partners as a full rebranded product.

Administration

  • User provisioning control

    Through the effective web interface or e-works API, platform administrator has full control over accounts creation, portals and videoconference parameters.
